So, we're all too busy with sweeps to post, huh?
In any case, I just thought I'd point out that I think it's pretty clear what the Fox O&O's are doing with their new websites. You know, the one's Sandra told us they were building. myfoxNY has launched in beta, and there rumor mill is the rest of the O&O markets will have myfox(insert city here) soon. myfoxkc.com comes up with a temporarily unavailble message, but I have a feeling that will change soon.
It looks very...foxy. Big fonts, lots of color. Lots of video. It also shows off the new on-air look that is supposed to match FOX News and their new brand name "The most powerful name is local news." Sound familiar? Look for those at a FOX station near you too.

Looks a darn sight better than the WorldNow websites that some stations are using now, including KCTV5.com.
I did hear that the World Company On-line division hs started selling its website formats to other media outlets. Just a couple of newspapers from what I saw, but maybe it'll start to filter to some other TV sites other than KTKA.
Oooh, Bieke. I think someone should join his station's investigative team. :)
We already updated our on-air look (relatively) recently, so I'm thinking WDAF gets at least few more years without that particular tie to Rupert ... If for no other reason than I can't imagine where the money would come from. I hope we'll still be "Working For You" as well. But who knows?
Anyone else feel the NY beta is too ... um ... wide? Did I just out my monitor as a dinosaur?
Sandra
Maybe my info is wrong, but the people who work at other FOX stations seem to think it's rolling out nationwide.
With Roger Ailes running the O&O's now, you never know what's going to happen. That's my motto.

We shall see. You're right on the web business, at any rate.

I work at a FOX O&O. Only the O&Os will get the new makeover. This is all part of the new Dennis Swanson era. He recently finished overhauling the CBS O&Os.
