Seeking a Producer

I am the overnight producer at KAKE in Wichita and we are looking to fill that position so I can move to the six. I'm writing to see if you know of anyone interested. My news director is looking for someone that has at least six months of experience...that's about what I had when I came. If you do, have them email me: morgan.smith@kake.com or send a tape to:

ATTN: Dave Grant
KAKE-TV
1500 N. West St.
Wichita, KS 67203

They could always send me the tape, too...if they want to contact me first.

Hello everyone!

Big changes to report. After only a week of unemployment (gotta love layoffs!), I have started a new job at a public relations firm in Dallas. Getting out of the business is something I thought about for months. I am one of those people who loves news, loves telling a great story and meeting people... but I am a mother and I don't want to miss every soccer game or be so tired from working a morning or evening shift that I can't enjoy the time I am home. I have covered more murders, stabbings, shootings and fires in the last year than I care to count. Along the way, the work became less meaningful. So... on to something new. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

A little update...Chris and I are living in Fresno now. I work at the NBC affiliate as the court reporter and fill-in anchor.
I've really enjoyed it. Everyone is very nice and helpful. I've been here since October. Hope everyone is well. Keep in touch.

Bieke says: You do need software. I use my Mac and iDVD, but I don't have the slightest idea what works well on the PC. Anybody else with suggestions????
